Know that when you’re in front of the camera you can give a much better impression if you have adequate lighting for your face. Other conference participants may want to see your facial expression because that is an important part of your communication. If there is a window behind you, your face will be dark and you will lose that extra layer of communication. Therefore, adjust the level of lighting that may be on the left and right hand side of your face.

Use Checklist and Task Lists Abundantly
Many of us have lost the typical rhythm of office and private time. Those eight hours working from home may seem an endless stretch to some of us. Do use a structure and sit down at the end of the day to write out the most important tasks for the following day. In the morning, after a first email review, complement that list and prioritize with a A-B-C activities.
Creative Meeting locations for those Calls
When you have to do that video call in the afternoon, be creative when and where to participate. Maybe you can simply dial in while going for a walk outside to get your daily dose of light air and sunshine, especially if you do not have an active part.
When you’re on the move, sometimes concentration is easier. If there is an agenda to be followed, use your phone or simply that good old piece of paper with your notes for your pocket.
Contact Staff Regularly
Especially in these difficult times, keep all your regular meetings and catch ups with your staff. To remain productive, everyone needs your support. Keep in contact on a daily basis, online, via mail, phone, video or online chat. How is your staff doing, what topics are hot? Where does everybody need help - Even if these are private topics like taking care of loved ones or juggling work and family responsibilities. Some of your staff members may have children at home that need to get their schoolwork done so that they have trouble getting on interrupted time.
